DFW Airport West Airfield Drive Duct Bank Surveying, TX

Transportation | Airports

Role: Prime

AZ&B provided civil site design services for this 8E6 electrical duct bank on the west side of DFW Airport. AZ&B conducted an initial site visit to evaluate project limits, the extent of surveying required, utilities, topographic conditions, and other features that would affect the design. AZ&B staff coordinated with DFW Airport Design, Code & Construction Department, and Energy Department personnel to identify design issues and coordinate design plans, traffic control, and other critical design factors. Work included duct bank plan and profiles, installation details, Cathodic Protection Plan, paving repairs, traffic control, and erosion control. Schematic drawings were prepared using DFW’s as-built plans and GIS electronic files, aerial photograph images were set into CAD format for a base map to use in schematic preparation, and proposed alignment alternatives were prepared.
