AZ&B is a in a joint venture to provide program management services for DART’s new Silver Line (formerly Cotton Belt). The 26-mile Silver Line Corridor extends between DFW Airport and Shiloh Road in Plano. The alignment traverses seven cities including Grapevine, Coppell, Dallas, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson, and Plano. The Cotton Belt “Silver Line” Project’s primary purpose is to provide passenger rail connections and service that will improve mobility, accessibility, system linkages to major employment, population, and activity centers in the northern part of the DART Service Area. The project will include 10 rail stations, 4 rail connections, service 11,200 weekday riders by 2040, and create 210,000 job opportunities. AZ&B is providing a range of services to DART including scheduling, coordination services with affected municipalities, quality control and risk assessments to name a few.
