BVSWMA Gasification Feasibility Analysis, College Station, TX

AZ&B staff were retained by the Brazos Valley Solid Waste Management Agency to perform a technical and economic feasibility analysis of a municipal solid waste gasification project. The proposed technology was pyrolysis. Using experience drawn from work on large scale waste-to-energy facilities, staff evaluated the proposal, met with Texas A&M researchers, and interviewed both the vendor and proposed energy and material markets. A report was prepared identifying the potential of the proposal, risks to BVSWMA, and the anticipated costs and revenues to the agency.
