AZ&B evaluated an out-of-service downtown main that required consideration of very unique site conditions including adjacency to an operational DART light rail line and is located in the heart of downtown Dallas. The pipeline also provided service to a number of major businesses in the central business district. The 900- foot section in question was located on the north side of Bryan Street, within the DART ROW and adjacent to the DART station, between Ervay and Harwood Streets. AZ&B evaluated several possible testing and repair options which led to three alternatives giving the City a choice in the method of repair.
