Program Management

Role: Subconsultant

AZ&B provided third party reviews of the non-housing engineering submittals as the main contributor to the “Engineering & Construction Support Team.” AZ&B provided subject matter experts to the DR Non-Housing Program for a wide range of disciplines including water/wastewater, transportation/roadway, drainage, lift station, pump station, trails, lake/riverbank protection, solid waste, generator, and SCADA systems. Design guideline documents vary greatly from project to project, and AZ&B is responsible for reviewing the final construction documents, so they meet the necessary requirements according to the local and GLO guidelines. Our staff is responsible for performing quality control and constructability reviews at the 30, 60, and 100 percent levels. AZ&B SME’s completed a general and a discipline specific checklist for each individual bid package according to the designated “HUD Activity Code,” and provided comments to the engineer for response within two days of being assigned the workload. AZ&B’s staff has contributed to the success of the program by meeting deadlines and managing staff commitment for a project with an unpredictable task list.
